this is the dresser. you can see the difference in the dressers. The really sad thing is that the dresser drawers that originally looked the worst actually sanded the best. I guess all the layers of dirt and grime protected the wood. I spent a couple of hours outside yesterday (freezing my BUNS off) sanding the rest of the dresser. The other drawers are scratched so deeply that it won't be worth it to stain it. I am going to fill the scratches with putty and paint it. And it is pine, not oak. A bit disappointing, but still FREE and it will look nice when it is done. I am going to paint it a really nice nutmeg color.Sunday, January 20, 2008
